Venue Coordinator FAQ

Does The Circ Bar provide a wedding planner/event planner?

No. Your rental includes the services of our venue coordinator. We highly recommend hiring one, or a day-of-coordinator (DOC) as it is one less thing to worry about. It can be tricky to know exactly what that means so we’ve included a quick overview of the differences between a venue coordinator and a wedding planner.

Venue Coordinator
  • Guided in-person venue tours
  • Designing beverage package options
  • Venue package upgrade options
  • Moving and placement of venue furniture and venue decor
  • Coordination and scheduling of day-of staff, including security to guide guests and aide in usage of the elevator
Wedding Planner or DOC
  • Contacts all vendors leading up to wedding day to ensure arrival times
  • Creates a timeline and distribute it to vendors
  • Attends and runs your rehearsal
  • Runs the processional during the wedding day ceremony
  • Sets up the decor you provide and packs it up/cleans it up at the end of the day

The main difference between a venue coordinator and a wedding planner lies in their roles and responsibilities. A venue coordinator is typically employed by the wedding venue itself and focuses primarily on managing the logistics and details related to the venue. They ensure that the venue facilities are ready, coordinate the setup, and handle venue-specific aspects of the event. Please review “Policies” under your contract for detailed information regarding the specifics of what the venue is responsible for.

On the other hand, a wedding planner is an independent professional hired by the couple. Their role is more comprehensive, encompassing all aspects of the wedding. They assist in planning and executing the entire event, from selecting vendors, managing budgets, creating timelines, handling décor and design, and addressing any issues that may arise during the planning process and on the wedding day. Wedding planners work closely with the couple to bring their vision to life and ensure a seamless and memorable wedding experience.
